Candid, natural coverage of the people, atmosphere and moments that make the day yours — with gentle direction only when it helps.

Natural wedding photography

Your day.
As it happened.

A wedding is not a photoshoot with a timetable attached. It is a day full of people, movement, nerves, laughter, small details and moments that happen once.

Andy Michel photographs weddings around Mauritius with a documentary-led approach: staying unobtrusive when real moments are unfolding, then stepping in with simple direction when portraits, light or logistics need it.

Coverage can range from an intimate elopement or small ceremony to a full wedding day with getting ready, ceremony, couple portraits, reception, party and more than one location. For sessions outside the wedding day, see couple and family photography in Mauritius.

01

Candid first

The expressions, reactions and interactions that happen without prompting are usually the photographs that matter most. Andy gives those moments room to happen.

02

Direction when it matters

Portraits do not need to feel stiff. A small adjustment, a change of position or a little guidance is often enough to make the light and composition work naturally.

03

Honest images

The goal is a polished gallery that still feels like the wedding you actually experienced — the people, the atmosphere and the unexpected parts included.

Coverage built around the wedding

From getting ready
to the last part of the day.

There is no reason to choose wedding coverage blindly before Andy understands the day. Tell him what you are planning, which moments matter to you and how the locations fit together. He can then recommend the coverage that makes sense.

01

Intimate weddings & elopements

Couple-only celebrations and smaller ceremonies can be covered without turning the day into a large production.

02

Full-day storytelling

Coverage can include preparations, ceremony, couple portraits, reception, dinner and party depending on the day you are planning.

03

Several locations

Preparation, ceremony, portraits and reception do not need to happen in one place. Multi-location wedding days can be planned into the coverage.

04

Beyond the shore

Drone photography is included when weather and flying conditions allow. More extensive wedding plans can also incorporate underwater photography and boat trips.

Getting married in Mauritius

The island changes.
The plan can too.

Mauritius can move from hard sun to cloud, wind and a passing shower quickly. The useful thing is not pretending the weather is predictable — it is knowing how to adapt when it changes.

Andy photographs throughout Mauritius with no additional travel charge within the island. If the wedding uses several venues, those movements can be factored into the photography plan from the beginning.

And when conditions are suitable, aerial photography can add a completely different view of the coastline, venue and surroundings without replacing the human moments on the ground. Practical questions about weather, timing, delivery and drone photography are covered in the wedding photography FAQs.

Do you photograph small weddings and elopements?

Yes. Andy offers coverage ranging from couple-only elopements and intimate weddings through to full-day weddings with guests and multiple venues.

Can Andy cover getting ready, the ceremony, reception and party?

Yes. Wedding coverage can include preparations, ceremony, couple portraits, dinner or reception and the party. Tell Andy which parts of the day matter to you and he will recommend the appropriate coverage.

Can you photograph a wedding at several different locations?

Yes. The larger wedding options are designed for days involving multiple locations such as preparation, ceremony, portraits and reception venues.

Is drone photography included?

Yes. Aerial photography is included where weather and flying conditions allow.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Mauritius weather can change quickly. If conditions are unsuitable, Andy will discuss the options with you and sessions can be rescheduled for bad weather. If a Cyclone Warning Class III is in force, photography sessions do not go ahead.

How are the photographs delivered?

Your edited photographs are delivered through a private online gallery in high resolution. Wedding galleries are normally delivered within two weeks of the wedding day.
